HEALTH SERVICES FOR STUDENTS AT UNOMEDA CLINIC

Welcome to Unomeda – a private medical center in Kaunas that provides healthcare for international students. Our doctors speak English, so communication is clear and simple. This is your chance not to worry about healthcare while you’re studying and living in Lithuania.

EU / EEA Students

To be eligible to register, you must have a Temporary Residence Certificate (TRC) – all full-time students should have one.
Your TRC includes a personal identification number (asmens kodas) required for the health system.

Once registered, your coverage should appear as active.
If it doesn’t, please contact your faculty dean’s office for help updating your data.

You can check your insurance status here:

*If you have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), you can receive first aid services at Unomeda. This benefit applies not only to EU students but also to all other EU residents.

Non-EU / International Students

To be eligible, you must have a Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) – this document also includes your personal identification number (asmens kodas) required for the health system.

Non-EU students cannot usually register at a clinic unless they are legally employed in Lithuania.
If you are working here, you may register with Unomeda under the same conditions as local residents.

If you are not employed, you can still visit Unomeda for medical services:
you pay for the visit and can later apply for reimbursement through your private health insurance.
